Know Your Impact!

Facilities Planning & Management and Associated Students are campaigning to improve Butte College’s recycling efforts and to reduce waste disposal costs. We spend $37,000 a year to dispose trash. Our goal is to reduce volume of trash by 20%.

Our new single-stream recycling system means that all you have to do is place your recyclable materials in a blue or gray bins located in each classroom and in several locations throughout campus. We'll take care of the rest! 

Single-stream means that all recyclables can be mixed together (paper, cans, cardboard, plastic, etc.). Classrooms has a regular trash bin, but we have increased the size of the recycle bin.  With our new single-stream system, there’s no excuse - please recycle!
